Integrative Precision Agriculture
CAES is fostering collaboration between innovative disciplines at UGA, bringing together plant scientists, animal health experts, engineers and computer scientists to discover integrative solutions that increase production levels and promote environmental health.
Integrative precision agriculture (IPA) harnesses the power of technology and big data to sustainably provide for our planet’s growing population. Technology empowers producers to make evidence-based, accurate decisions in real-time. By employing the latest technologies, IPA practices ensure that producers are able to increase efficiency and make more informed decisions in the field, ensuring that agriculture continues to be Georgia’s No. 1 industry. IPA applies to every aspect of the agriculture industry, from planting and harvesting to creating more environmentally conscious farming practices.
